In this chapter, we are introduced to a young boy who has just returned from a friend's house. The boy tells us that the friend is studying for exams, and that he and his friend have been neglecting one another. He asks his friend to go and take a break with him, but his friend refuses, saying that he is too busy studying to take a breather. He tells the boy that he has been trying to keep up with his friend, but that if he continues to do so, he will lose interest in his friend. He says that he does not want to get into the way of the boy's studies, but he also says that his friend is trying to seduce him. The young boy says that it is not his fault that the boy has been neglecting his studies, because he is a man, and he would like to have a break from his studies.
