In this chapter, we learn that the undead are not human beings, but merely "not bad" . We learn that haoguang joined the school because the old geezer was his cheapskate master, and that's how he ended up joining the school. He tells us that the school has produced many "top-tier seekers" throughout history, including Mingzijiang, the great sage of the "mortal law" , and countless other great masters of the past. He says that the golden tael is the only talisman you can use to its full potential. . He asks if he can bury his brother and sister in the school, and if he's going to leave the legacy of the school to die in his hands. The school must live on, he says. He's known as the "Sage of the Mortal Law" and he asks the three of them to help him fight the undead.
