About This Chapter
The monster asks why he can't stop her. He's not a god, he says, and there's no way he can judge who's guilty and who isn't. He wonders if he can sense the slightest hint of causality in the chain of events, and if it's even possible that he could break the chain. He also wonders if haoguang has the talent to do so, but he's too far behind in his powers to be able to do it himself. He wants to know if he has enough of a grip on the talisman to do the job himself, or if he'll have to wait and see what he can do with the rest of his powers. The monster says he has two more talismans left, and he wants to see how much he can control his limbs. He asks if he was hit on purpose, or was it an accident. He says he can only control himself, and that's it. He calls his mom and dad back, and tells them to give him back his freedom.
