This chapter opens with a description of Mingzi's assistant, who tells the reader that the island master is a "magic power" that has no enemies. He also tells us that Mingzi is "good-looking" and "perfect" . The assistant also tells the story of how the three disciples of the first master, ziming and mingzi, and the two disciples of second master,jiang jiang, plotted to kill Mingzi. He says that the three of them and their disciples were all "instructed" by Mingzi to do so. He tells the audience that he plans to teach haoguang a lesson when the "power of the word" is restored.
