In this chapter, we learn that the old man is stronger than ever before, and that he's surrounded by a horde of undead. The old man says that he can't fight the undead with the magic power talisman, because it's too high a risk. He also says that the undead are swarming around him, and he'll have to drag them all along if he dies. He's worried that if he does die, they'll all die with him, too. He wonders if there's a magic talisman hidden in the grass, and wonders if it'll be able to stop the undead from attacking him. He doesn't know if there is, but he does know that the fire of Samadhi is the same fire that destroys the word of Tongyue. He thinks that this fire is the kind that nullifies the power of magic, and will destroy all the great powers of the future.
