Act 35 opens with a description of the cold ocean currents. The narrator tells us that he's not alone. He's with his sister, who has always wanted to travel the world. She never got the chance to do so, and she should have ended up with him instead. He tells her that starting today, he'll be her senior, and that she'll become his last family. He says that they're doing this for real, and he never imagined that he would be important to anyone. They're going to make a comeback, he says, and then he says that he finally learned what it means to be a family. They don't have to hide their coughing from him anymore, he tells them, and they can have their favorite tea eggs. He explains that the day they attacked them was the happiest day of his life, when he loved the idea that he could die for them. But the cruel reality is that that day an extremist group attacked them with malicious intent. They chose to save his life. That's the first time that he was overcome with a "uncontrollable rage" , and the only thing he could do was to make the people who attacked them pay their blood debt and drop for drop.
