About This Chapter
In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the "unlock alien man" . He is the protagonist of the story, and we are told that he is a kind of alien who flies by eating dreams. He explains that dreams are a way for humans to conquer the dreams of other beings and ride atop them instead. He tells us that the only way to do this is to "crush the dreams" of others and "ride atop them, instead." He then tells us about the "secret of the futheark runes" , which is the code of the sky. According to legend, the code was written when the "norse god" odin was chained to the "world," the "tree," and the "yggdrasil." The code says that all 28 of the "runes" are written on the "mother" of the universe. The code also says that the "wind" and "the dynamic lift" are the only two things that can cause a person to die. This is the last thing the protagonist wants to say to his new friend, and he tells him that he will not be able to "lay a finger" on him "for the rest of his life." The protagonist then tells his friend that he does not understand what is going on in the world, and that he wants him to explain it to the world.
