In this chapter, we hear Enoshima's voice. He's talking about the monster that's been haunting him. The monster is the one that ripped away everything Enoshima has ever known. He tells us that the monster's fangs are now slick and bloody, and that soon they'll "rot away" and "melt into droplets" . He wants to know who brought the monster down to earth. Enoshima asks why the monster didn't attack him, and Enoshima tells him that he had him at his mercy. He asks if the monster is getting pushed around by the keeper of the fang, and he wonders if the keeper is getting weaker. He also tells Enoshima that he's happy to see him, because he used to be a friend of his, and now it's time for him to tell his story.
