The next morning, the soldiers practice running again, and one by one, they are struck by the thud of a machine gun. One by one the soldiers fall to the ground, and the sound of gunfire pierces the air. One of the soldiers cries out, "What the hell just happened?" . The other soldiers rush to his aid, but they are unable to stop him. The soldier is struck in the stomach by a bullet, and he is unable to move. He is struck again by another bullet, this time from another machine gun, but he is able to stop it. He tells the other soldiers not to worry, as he has work to do for the next day.
