This chapter begins with a description of how agito's weakness lies in his physical fragility. In order to overcome this weakness, he must increase his reliance on his fangs. This leads to long recovery time, and thus more reliance on those fangs. The only thing that keeps him going is his mental strength, which is tied to the chain of his physical strength. The chapter ends with a soliloquy in which the voice of sumeragi explains that his greatest weakness is that he's been blessed with a lot of good things in life, which can lead him to make mistakes. In the end, he says, his will is broken, but he almost feels like he'd rather be the last man standing than the last one to go down. He begs sumeruagi to make him some air-turcks for him.
