In this short scene, we learn that Hirohito and the rest of the gang are on their way to the aircraft carrier, which is headed for Japan. First, they want to make sure that the carrier isn't going to shoot down their stealth aircraft before they get to their destination. They don't want to be shot down by the enemy's air-to-air missiles, which only have a 62% success rate against low-flying targets. They also want to know if the police are on the scene, because they've got a bunch of riot cops on the way.
