About This Chapter
The scene opens with a description of a time in history when ships were passing each other on long and lonely voyages across the oceans. When a ship passed by, sailors looked at it and saw themselves waving back. They saw this as an omen that their ship was going to be wrecked and that they were going to send a message of cha cha to the other ship. The clown is so sorry that he doesn't want to expose himself. He stomps on the clown's guts and calls him a maggot. He then asks why the clown is licking his boots and who said he was forgiven. He says he's getting angry lately and is going to shower him with insults. He knows the trick behind his magic show. He points out that the world of reflected light can't be affected by the direct sunlight of the sun. This means that while he was attacking the clown, the clown was open to attack him. He looks at his hair and says it's not his hair that's going to get burned, but his eyes staring at him. This is why he stayed behind the clown. He thinks that the clown has been picking on weak people all this time and that he is getting the chills just looking at his fishy eyes. He tells the clown to shut up and to concentrate or he'll give him half his power.
