In this chapter, we learn that Ohya High School's ace throws a lot of "forkballs" , which means that the batter has to get used to the fact that he's going to have to throw a bunch of forks before he can get a good feel for the opposing team's pitching. Oh, and by the way, this is the first time that we've heard about a "forkball" in the novel, so we're not sure what it means. We're also told that the other players on the team don't really know what they're doing, so it's not clear whether they'll be able to play in the quarter-finals without their ace. We also learn that the captain of the team, Miyuki, has been fighting a lot lately, and that Miyuki has been able to get him to fight back. This is a big deal, since Miyuki is the captain, and Miyuki can do whatever he wants with the captain's help. Miyuki asks the captain to do whatever Miyuki wants him to do, and the captain says he'll always do what he says.
