In this chapter, Tommo and his classmates discuss their upcoming exhibition game against a school in the east division of the Chiba Prefecture. They've never faced this school before, but they're confident that they'll be able to beat them. Tommo borrows a copy of the game from a friend, and he tells his classmates that they should aim for "koshien" and "run" . He also tells them to be careful not to put too much power into their fingers. He says that he's going to have to beat the school's left-handed pitcher with his own power, but that he can't use Sawamura because he'll have to throw inside pitches.
