Now that the game is over, Tachi begins to worry about what he's going to do in his first game at the varsity level. He's worried about whether or not he'll be able to control the pace of the game, and whether he can keep the ball in the air. He worries that Miyuki is going to let the ball pass him, and he worries that he won't have enough time to catch it. Tachi tells Miyuki to get ready for his first varsity game, because he thinks he has a good chance of doing so. Miyuki, he says, is ready, and Tachi wants to see how he reacts to his first pitch.
