This chapter opens with a flashback to the beginning of the previous chapter, in which Hiroshi and the other players discuss how they've been able to beat Osamu's team in the past few matches. The flashback shows Hiroshi's excitement when he sees a pop fly from Osamu and a catch made by Hiroshi on the fly. Hiroshi is impressed with the way Osamu is able to keep the opposing team's bats in check. He's also impressed with Osamu, who's pitching so well that Hiroshi thinks he's going to be the new head coach of the team.
