This chapter opens on the first day of the new season, and we're told that the new team is still trying to figure out how to play the game. We're also told that it's the first time that seido has been on the field, so he's not used to being in the big leagues. He's a little nervous, though, because he hasn't seen the other team's players yet. He asks the other players if they're worried about him, and they all agree that they are. They're not sure if he'll be able to handle the pressure of being the new guy on the team, so they send him to the bullpen to get some rest.
