They're bummed that they can't play because their class mates are away on their class trips, but they've got to go anyway. They talk about the future plans of the third-year athletes in the club, and how they'll try to make the final four of the tournament. They also talk about how the schools in the league come to scout the club each year to see if they can meet the goals the students have set. They all cheer for Tommoyuki's chances of winning the tournament, and he tells them that he's not worried about that. He tells them to be careful with the ball, because the batter won't run. He also tells them not to try to throw the ball too hard, because that'll only make the ball harder to catch. He says they should try to get the ball as low as they can, because it's a good sinker, and that's how they can get the most out of the game. They discuss furuya, who wants to try a breaking ball, but he can only get it so far. He's got a vertical slider, but it doesn't move very well, and the ball breaks on its own.
