He also tells her that they'll be able to watch her practice and her games, too, since they're in the same high school as last year. They also mention that there's a Japanese variant of chess, shogi, that they don't like to play in, so they'd like to watch their practice and their games. A little birdie tells them that they should have a good start to the season, because it'll help their chances of getting into the tournament. They're both psyched about that, and they both agree that having a strong start is important.
