In this short scene, Miyuki and Tomoyuki discuss their chances of winning the tournament. Miyuki says that he's going to try to steal the tournament, even though he doesn't think he'll be able to do it. He's not alone, he thinks, and he hopes that he can catch Miyuki in the act. He hopes that the two of them will stand together in the arena, and that he and Miyuki can share the same dream of going to the tournament as brothers. The only problem, he says, is that Miyuki's pitch is so fast that it's hard to catch. He thinks that the pitch Miyuki throws to him is just as good as the one he throws to anyone else, but he can't quite catch it. It's like a "rock" on the way to the batter's box, and it drops just as Miyuki catches it. The game is just getting started, and the other team is trying to counter-attack Miyuki with a run of their own. He says that if he hadn't caught the pitch, they probably would have lost the game.
