Two outs, a runner on third, and the score is tied. Miyuki tells the boys that they've got to get after the Kiryus. He tells them to keep an eye on Miyuki's "ba whoof" , who's been "piss off strike" a bunch of times in Chapter 52. Mimaki says that he'll hit the next time he's up on the mound, and Miyuki says that's the only way they're going to win the game. He also says that Miyuki needs to stop worrying about striking out Kiryu and focus on the game at hand. He warns Miyuki not to worry about that one strikeout, because Miyuki knows that Kiryu's not going to be able to throw a fast fastball at them any more. He's just going to try to throw an "inside pitch" at them, which Miyuki thinks is a good idea because it'll keep them from getting too many easy pitches. The next pitch Miyuki sees is an inside pitch, and it's an easy one for Kiryu to throw at them. He asks Miyuki to throw the inside pitch to him, but Miyuki doesn't want him to do it anymore, because he knows Miyuki has been asking him to throw it all along. He says that if Miyuki just throws the way he wants, Kiryu won't have a chance to hit him, and that'll be the end of Miyuki trying to ask him to toss inside pitches. He adds that he just wants to make Miyuki feel bad for waiting so long to get a good pitch, so Miyuki gives him the chance to do what he wants with the pitch, which is to just throw the pitch he wants.
