In this chapter, Tomohashi delivers a soliloquy on the importance of a single moment in a game. He compares the moment of victory to the moment when he "smacked" a baseball into the "strato sphere" . He says that the victory belongs to the entire team, and that they'll be facing the same team again tomorrow. He tells the other players that he'll give them three years of his life if they don't stop playing for a crappy team like the one they're playing for.
