The next morning, Hiroshi and the other members of the school's baseball team discuss the upcoming school trip. Hiroshi tells them that the group has been put together in case they are unable to go because of inclement weather. He also informs them that sawamura has been reading Kimi'ni Todoke, in which a character interrupts the main protagonist's confession of her love interest to her, and that he seems to be happier lately. He tells Hiroshi that the school has been running batting practices like a real game for a while, but that one day, he suggested that the players relax and enjoy the game of baseball. He says that he has been thinking about some other things, too, and even in his current position, what has gotten into him. He asks if he can give some of the other players the opportunity to play against the mori bean academy this Saturday.
