The next morning, Hiroshi asks Hiroshi about the previous day's game. Hiroshi tells him that the furuya kid pitched through the seventh, but the Furuya team played out the rest of the game. He also tells Hiroshi that the coach said that he'd try to switch the whole team to the bench, but nobody did. He wonders why Hiroshi still has a spot in the starting line-up even though he's the best pitcher on the team. He's also worried that Hiroshi hasn't pitched in ages, and he wonders if the coach is planning to use Hiroshi in the upcoming tournament.
