In the bottom of the eighth, Inashiro Industrial is unable to score any runs. The first batter makes a pitch that is three up, three down, and a cutter. Miyuki, the catcher, comments on the pitch, saying that it was a good one and that he can't believe that the other side could have predicted such a turn of events. The next batter is Furuya, the left fielder, who had two hits in the previous inning that set the team up for its comeback. He tells Miyuki that he'll figure out a way to keep the team moving after that.
