In the bottom of the first inning, Inashiro begins to attack. He's got an overpowering fastball and a low-to-mid-range cutter, which he'll use to keep the opposing team's first-basemen off balance. Furu and Enoshima discuss the pitch, which strikes them both out twice in a row. Enoshima wonders if it's just that pitch, but Furu points out that he's also struck out two batters in succession. He thinks that this is a good sign, because it means that Enoshima's been working hard on his mechanics.
