Miyuki and Tanba prepare to go toe-to-toe in the second half of a game. Miyuki has been pitching well, but Tanba's weakness is that he's struck out too many batters. He doesn't have enough time to practice his pitches in real life, so he'll have to wait until the end of the game to try his hand at pitching. He asks if Miyuki is preparing for a fight, or if it's his selfish desires that keep him from becoming a true ace. He says that he won't stand on the field with Miyuki if he wants to be considered an ace, and that's the only way he can do it. Tanba says that if they hit him after all that, he should shave his head and shoulders. He adds that if he gets another hit, he has to shave his eyebrows, too. He also says that Miyuki's social anxiety made him unable to even meet anyone on the team. He's ready to go if they strike him out.
