After striking out the first two batters, Todoroki strikes out the next two, but he's still struggling with his control. He's worried that his slider is curving too much, and worries that he'll have to use it more often in the future. He decides to go to the bull pen to try to get his rhythm back. He doesn't know what to expect from the next batter, and he'd rather face that batter at his best than the next one at his worst. So, he decides to throw the ball into the air and see what happens.
