This chapter opens with a soliloquy by the master of the martial house. He tells his students that he loves them all, even if they were children. He also tells them that he is sorry that they are still so obsessed with him. He says that he should go away and that he shouldn't be with him anymore. He reminds them that she has gone and that no one will ever know that she is innocent. He then tells her that he has come to tell her that she will surely die if she doesn't leave him.
