In the middle of the night, a servant of the martial house, named Senior Brother Yang, arrives at the gate of his mansion. He tells the servant that the gate is not open for anyone to enter, and that he is just guarding it. The servant tries to calm him down by saying that the gates of other martial houses are open to anyone, but that is not the case with the gate at the Shaolin martial house. He then goes on to say that the new disciple, named Junior Brother chu, has been accepted into the ranks of the core disciples, and is therefore entitled to the same privileges as the other disciples. He also says that they are going to take revenge on the disciples who have lost their places in the ranks.
