In this chapter, we learn that Milady has decided to have a child. Milady tells us that she prayed that she would have the baby, and she's surprised that she didn't think more about her future. She says that she thought about what she would do if she had the child, and how she would be able to get a job if she couldn't get one at the school. She also says that, even if she can't, she'll do whatever it takes to get the baby. She's going to rent a place in the suburbs so that she can work from there, and Milady says that even if the school isn't going to let her work there, she will still try to find a job somewhere else in the country. She tells Milady that when she heard that she was pregnant, she was happy, but Milady was surprised to hear that she'd been thinking about the baby all along. She asks Milady to get up so that they can pray together for the safe birth.
