About This Chapter
In the midst of a heated argument between Asahina and Tsuda over who is the fastest man in the world, the two are interrupted by the arrival of Hiroshi, who has come to collect some spikes and shorts. As he enters, Hiroshi asks him to put down the ball and warm up, and Hiroshi agrees to do so. As the two exchange pleasantries, the latter asks if he is okay, and the former replies that he is, and that he was worried that he would hate him if he became clingy, so he didn't want to stop by his house. He then asks Hiroshi if he has a stomachache, and he says that if he does not go out on the field, the captain will disqualify him. He says that he will do his best, and if he misses the race because his stomach hurts, he will roar and do so his best. The two then look at each other, and they realize that the man they are about to face is the world's number one sprinter, and this is Hiroshi's last chance to win the 100m dash. As they enter the arena, the first group of spectators is ready to cheer them on, but Hiroshi is too distracted by the crowd to give them a chance to cheer him on.
