Asahina and her friend yamato are hanging out at the cafe, and Asadahina asks chan if he's feeling well. chan replies that he is, but that he doesn't have time to hang out with her because he has to work all the time. He also tells her that he wants to get his culinary license after he graduates from high school, and that it's best for him to try new things while he is young. He tells chan that he'd be happy to work for his father, who's getting older and busier. He then asks what made chan decide to go abroad to study culinary arts, and chan says he'll get more out of it than if he stayed in Japan, since they have higher standards there. He shows chan how to use a pasta machine, which he says his father liked, too, and then chan tells him to get busy in the cafe for lunch.
