In this chapter, we are introduced to the protagonist, who is a young man who has fallen in love with a young woman named Suzuka. He tells her that he loves her and wishes to marry her. Suzuka, however, has broken off her relationship with him, and the protagonist is left with no choice but to confess his love for her.
