The next morning, Hiroshi tries to call Asahina, but she doesn't answer the phone. He tells her that he's gone home for the winter break, and she's worried about him. Hiroshi tells her to eat the apples that he sent her, or else they'll all go bad. She tells him to let her dad know if he wants to go to the camp, and he says he'll let her know. She says she'll call her back when she gets there, but Hiroshi says he can't, because she'd have to give him a lecture. He's not going to call her, he says, because asahina won't call him back.
