The chapter opens with Step talking about how nervous he is about running in the big district championships. He's not sure how he's going to do it, but he'll do it anyway. He tells us that he plans to go to Asahina's house to tell her how he feels. The chapter ends with Step saying that he feels like he could be even better than Hiroshi in the 100m.
