The chapter opens with Hiroyuki's conversation with Goro-chan. Hiroyuki is still asleep, and Hiroyuki asks him how long he's going to sleep. He says he'll wake up if he has to. He's already retired from his team, and he wants to talk to Hiroyuki about his duties as a team manager. He tells Hiroyuki that he'd like to go to school with him, but Hiroyuki doesn't want to walk with him because he thinks it'll be awkward. He also tells her that she's a tough girl, and that she can be "a real pain" in the "ass" . He then tells her not to worry, because she'll always be his wife. He goes on to say that he isn't in love with a girl, but that she needs someone who is easy to get along with and who can cook. He adds that he just bought ten extra laps of track, which is why Hiroyuki wants to stick around. He asks Hiroyuki if he would like to stay around while Hiroyuki runs the extra laps, so he can say that the team will be in good hands. When Hiroyuki thanks him for his hard work, Hiroyuki says that he was worried that he would turn out to be a big brother to him, and so he was surprised to find out that he is really a good teacher. He wants to go back to school to get into Waseda and Keio, but he can't bring himself to do so. He invites Hiroyuki to join him on the beach.
