In this chapter, we learn that the Governess is planning to kill the rest of the party. The Governess tells the others not to worry--she's not going to let them kill her. She's going to kill them all. She doesn't want them to think she's some kind of hero. She wants them to stop trying to act like they're super heroes. She also wants to know why they didn't just ignore her when she was alive. She asks why they haven't killed her just yet. They've done enough, she says, and now they need to figure out how to deal with the other monsters. She tells them that she sent the monster to the underground caverns for now, so they can figure out a way to get rid of her before she kills them. She says that's a good idea, since she'll be dead by now. She reminds them that they've only been alive for a little over a year now, and that they still don't know how many lives they have left. She points out that he's just a one-trick pony. He says that if he could have knocked down the monster, he'd have killed her too. He also says that the only reason he hasn't been killed yet is because he'll never be able to talk to him again. He's afraid that he won't have time to talk with him for at least fifteen minutes. He asks why the monster is here, and he says that it's because the people in the room are all messed up. He adds that the next day, they put the monster in a cell so that she can't use her magic powers or chi energy. The next morning, they lock her in the same room that they locked him in.
