It turns out that the two of them have been living in different parts of the castle for the past few months, and they haven't seen each other in a long time. They've been hiding out in different corners of the room, trying to figure out what's going on between them. Finally, they realize that they're in the middle of a conversation about the future, and that they need to get to the bottom of the mystery of what happened to the girl who asked them to meet her in the first place. They realize that she's forgotten about them for the last few years, but she still wants to see them, so they'll have to wait until the end of the year to see each other again. They agree that the girl is looking forward to the future and wants to make sure that she doesn't forget them, which is why they've waited so long.
