The chapter opens with a flashback to the time of the training with the witch at the castle. The flashback shows that the three of them went through the training together, but that the witch wasn't always there. The three are still friends, though, and they still love each other. The narrator tells us that it's a good thing that the training didn't get through to Hiroyuki, because otherwise, Hiroyuki wouldn't have gone back to the witch. He's also happy that Hiroyuki likes him, because he's the only one who doesn't love her anymore. Okay, now we're back in the present, where Hiroyuki and the others are talking about the training. Hiroyuki tells the others that he beat them while they were training, and that he'll beat them again if they don't stop talking about him. The others are shocked, and Hiroyuki says that he can't believe what he has just heard. He also says that if he beats them again, he will do everything in his power to get Hiroyuki to stop talking to him.
