Back at the Ryokan Inn, Aniki is back in her hiding place. She's happy to see her, but she's worried about what's going on between her and Hiroyuki. She doesn't know what to make of his confession that he loves her. Hiroyuki is clearly not a good match for Aniki, and she can't figure out why he'd want to marry her if he's not serious about his feelings for her. She tells him that she'll have to beat him first if he wants to leave the inn.
