About This Chapter
The chapter opens with a nod from the moon. It's been a long time since we've seen the moon, and now it's time to get back to the action. The narrator explains that he's got two powers that are dormant inside him: the black of Venus, the magia of Erbea, and the magic cancel of mars. He's also got a life-force called the "lifemaker" . The lifemaker is a jerk who used a guinea pig named Yukihime to find out about the secret of immortality. Now, it seems like fate wants him to be the one who can beat the "final boss" , so he decides to use his powers. He compares the lifemaker to a "doll" and a "tool" and says that he likes dolls just as much as they do him. He says that his heart is stopped, and that he can stay on his feet while his heart stops. He thinks of a giant dragonfly, which is a metaphor for the rift between Deimen and Men. The binding of the binding gets loose sometimes, and sometimes it connects to wherever he wants to go. He wonders if the dragonfly is a real thing, and wonders if he should not get too attached to it. He doesn't want to live in a world where his body won't die, and he wonders if his dreams are real. He wants to explain himself to the "ice-spirits" and "burst and freeze" of his dreams, but he can't bring himself to do so. He just wants to repay "the ice-spirit" for helping him.
