Two days later, Mingke's mother asks Mingke if she can talk to her daughter xiangxiang. Mingke says that he's not familiar with zichuan, but that she'll try her best to help the girl. She also says that she wants to see her daughter, but the girl's father won't allow her to do so. She's worried that the girl doesn't know that Mingke is her fiancee, and that she might not want Mingke to get involved in the family's problems. She tells Mingke that the family is having a hard time dealing with the situation, and Mingke can't help but wonder if the girl isn't familiar with Mingke. She says that if she lets her talk to the girl first, she might be able to figure out what to do.
