The next morning, Mingke opens the door to Longjing's house. He tells Longjing that his father has gone "too far" in his interference in the affairs of the company. He has blocked all the projects that Longjing should not have been involved in, and has done something that has caused a loss to the company of several billion dollars. Longjing apologizes for his father's interference, but Mingke tells him that he is afraid something is going to happen. He asks Longjing what is wrong with the faked pictures, and Longjing answers that he has met a woman at a casino, and that the woman deceived Longjing into taking part in a gambling game. He says that he will get Longjing to tell him what is going on, but that the company will not be able to move forward in the new year because the company's shareholders are jittery. He wants to see Longjing, but he doesn't know who she is, and he wants to know what he can do for him. He suggests that he should let Longjing wait in the house for a while, and then he will come to see her. Mingke asks if Longjing has ever thought that his granddaughter might not be his granddaughter, and Mingke replies that he had thought that longjing might be his grandson. He then tells Mingke to take Longjing on a kinship test, and to take another impostor if he wants.
