In this short scene, the two young men discuss the recent events in Hong Kong. The first, a student named Dongfang , has just arrived at the party of a friend of his, the beautiful, young, rich, and famous actress, Madame Bovary. He has heard that the party is being held ahead of schedule, and he is eager to attend. The second, a general manager of a company called the Donghong Group, has come to the party as well, but he is not sure whether he will be allowed to attend because he is on his way to a business meeting.
