He tells Ming that he is worried that he will not be able to forget his former lover, and Ming asks him if he would still like to be an actor if he were Ming. Ming replies that he does not know, but that now he should be "of no use" to him. He says that he heard that Ming's mother does not like him, and that Ming may have a difficult time there. Ming asks if he has any news about Zichlian, but Ming says it was not ancient times. Ming then tells him about the uproar that followed the news of his friend's injury, and how some people were jealous, some were envious, and some just watched the show. Ming concludes that the people were commenting on the news because one man was the "best actor" and the other the "president." Ming then asks why her mother made an appointment for the brother of her husband. She says that her two sons care about Ming very much, and she hopes that Ming can persuade one of them to change his mind.
