This chapter opens with a conversation between Longjing and Longjing's granddaughter. Longjing tells Longjing that he is the only person who really cares for her. He tells her that if she comes back to the company, she won't have to be bullied anymore. She tells him that she will go back to Longjing when he signs the contract with the new company. He says that he will go to see Longjing the next day and tell him how sad he will be if he doesn't sign the contract right away. He then tells her to think of how many people are fighting for power in the family. He adds that Longjing only has a small number of adopted children, and he is only his "real family." Longjing says that she is the granddaughter of the patron of the company and that she can't marry Longjing because he is just playing with her. She asks Longjing if she can tell Longjing what she has said, and she says that whatever she chooses, she has no right to tell him what she said. She says that if Longjing wants to continue living in the house, she must follow her orders. She also says that her father did not die because of her, but because he owes her a lot. She adds that if her father had brought her back to his house sooner, she would have been rich. She then tells him to stop talking nonsense and to go ahead. She promises to make him pay for the humiliation he has done to her.
