In this chapter, Ming-shan tries to make up with Mr. Pouza, who has finally found her. She tells him that she feels abandoned by him, and that she is going to ask him why he has not been more attentive to her. He tells her that he is different now, and he will take her back after they have cut the cake. She asks why he is doing this for her, and when he says that he already has a date with her, she asks him if he ever broke his promise. He says he did not mean to, but he just cant help picking on him. She says she is afraid that she will do something impulsive, and Ming-Shan asks why she is there, and she says that she has been searching for him for ages, and has been overlooked if she kept rambling, all of her secrets would be spilled. She also says that her grandfather used to be a bully, so she does not want to see him here. She wants to ask about her dad, and tells him to stop calling her to beg for money, and threatens to make his previous bar--singer experience public. She adds that he threatened to make her sing in front of the whole world, but that they never threatened to blackmail her, so why did she act so aggressively? Ming-Sung says he will spend his life in prison if he dares to harass her again, and Pouza says that his granddaughter was joking, so he does not think that she needs to blackmail Ming--she cannot take the joke seriously. He reminds her that the long-family is not what she can mess with, and asks her to stop making such jokes, and to listen to him if she wants to live.
