In this chapter, we learn that Mingchuan and Zhuanglian are both sick, and that they have secretly thrown away all of their pills. We learn that the two men are so disobedient to each other that their "colds" are still lingering. Zhuangling asks what's been going on between Cai and Xiexiang, and Mingchuan says that he's taking Cai out of the room first, and he'll be back soon. He doesn't know exactly what happened, but he does know that Cai is his "best friend" , and wants her to be safe. He tells us that he doesn' t want Cai to get hurt, but that if Cai doesn t like her, he shouldn't mess around with her anymore. He says that if he didn't like Cai, he'd throw a coffee in Cai's face. He also says that Cai should be careful with her, because she's "a very conservative girl" . He's not joking, though, when he says that she takes this kind of thing seriously, and she takes it very seriously. He warns Cai not to "mess with" her any more, and Cai says that's what he meant by not messing with her. He asks why they're here, and says that they heard that two men were sick, so he came by to see them. He wants to make sure that he won't be able to manage the business of Mingchuan, and so he wants Cai to run the business. Cai says
