In this chapter, we learn that Miss Jessel is getting better at her driving. She's even gotten her driver's licence, but she's still a little awkward with it because she doesn't drive as often as she'd like. She wants to be with her, but when the truth comes out, she wants to pretend that nothing has happened. She shows us some of the photos she took when she went to the islands, and she shows us the panorama she took of the island. It's so beautiful, she tells us, that she copies it and shows it to us. She tells us that it's a good idea to be suspicious of people all the time, because you never know what's going to happen.
